Bug Description

My disk is pre-partitioned and configured as LUKS-encrypted partitions.

Ubuntu 23.10 and older can install on the prearranged LUKS drive. No longer is it with Ubuntu 24.04 (as of 2024/04/09).

Wishlist? There are around 6 reports of this bug that are all related, this is stopping people installing, what would be more critical?

Security should be the first priority of a modern operating system. I would suggest the team to take this seriously.

The ability to install in pre-partitioned LUKS-encrypted is important especially for fixing broken installation and rescue of files.

What happen if an existing system 24.04 installed in LUKS-encrypted drive with important files such as private keys which needed to fix?

This bug certainly with lose credibility to crypto and blockchain industry and no one would like to use this version of Ubuntu.
