No need for this to be private. It's a VM with nothing special in it.

Hello Jane and thank you for your bug report,

It looks like lvm2 is absent from the Edubuntu installer. I just checked on the standard Ubuntu installer and the package is present there:

$ which pvscan
/usr/sbin/pvscan

I imagine that it's probably a seeds problem for Edubuntu?
