Hi achak-c and thank you for your bug report.
Usually, such behavior would indicate that the desktop-installer could not connect to subiquity within an acceptable time frame. We bumped this value from 30 to 90 seconds recently but usually, only systems with low specs would need that much time.
Looking at the info at my disposal, it seems you're running a 6 physical cores Ryzen 5 so I would expect the desktop installer to finish preparing quickly.
A tarball of /var/log/installer (+ /var/crash ideally) would help figure out more precisely what went wrong.
How much memory do you have on your hardware?
Thanks!
