[console-conf] Error when creating user on UC22/rpi armhf

When running a UC22 armhf RaspberryPi image on an RPi4, I get this error after introducing my LP account in console-conf:

  Creating user failed:
   │ error: while creating user: cannot create user alfonsosanchezbeato: │
   │ adduser failed with: adduser: The user `alfonsosanchezbeato' already │
   │ exists.

See also attached screenshot. Interestingly, I've not seen this on arm64 Pi images or on x86.

I have been trying to reproduce this bug but was unable to on the UC22 amd64 image.
Could you please point me to the RPI4 image that you used when the bug occurred?

I have now created another image with all components from edge, and unfortunately I cannot reproduce anymore (also, unfortunately I did not keep the image where I saw the problem). Or, if you want to create from scratch, you could use this assertion: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/gqDPgnxXv3/ (you would need to change the authority and sign), but note that you need to install ubuntu-image from edge for things to work.

Sadly, I was not able to reproduce the issue either.

I suspect the `snap create-user` operation could have run twice for some reason; but I don't have any evidence to back this up.

Should anyone be successful in reproducing this error, please upload the content of the /var/log/ directory.
Users created by `snap create-user` are expected to be created under /var/lib/extrausers/{passwd,shadow,group,...}
A copy of /etc/{passwd,group} could turn out helpful if anyone is able to reproduce the bug.
