Bug Description
I did manual installation, ext4 on lvm on mdraid.
error:
lvcreate ... volume group insufficient free space 7152669 extents, 7152754 required.
I had shrunk the lv in order to create a /boot but then backed that out; that might have led to some un-cross-checked state or some such; not going to try to transcribe the full log by hand though :)

Can you remember your mdraid topology? Computing the available space in a vg given the sizes of the underlying pvs is reasonably straightforward but computing the size of a mdraid devices is not and my guess is that is where subiquity's calculations have gone wrong.
