Bug Description
On a slow BIOS-based computer (Intel Atom CPU, booting the installer from a USB 2.0 device), the kernel takes a while to load after selecting "Install Ubuntu Server" from the boot menu, but the screen doesn't clear or change to indicate that anything is happening. When I first encountered this phenomenon, I began to think that the computer had hung, but it had not; it was simply taking a while to finish loading the kernel, with no feedback on the screen.
