Bug Description

Maybe it's ok to be opinionated about having unattended upgrades on? And for landscape-y things the answer is MAAS I guess, so maybe we do nothing here. But that should be a conscious decision.

We should also check that unattended upgrades is, in fact, on in the installed system. (And disabled in the live session, I guess?)

We decided that we should not allow configuration of unattended-upgrades, but the other parts still remain. Marking High so we do actually do the thinking about this, even though I think it's fairly likely that the bug will be closed without further action.

summary: - does not allow configuration of unattended upgrades / landscape

I read the topic here, but can't make out from the rest of the text if it what I am experiencing on Landscape and Subquity for Ubuntu desktop.

I tried making the Landscape client work with autoinstall in 23.04, 23.10 and now 24.04. It's not happening at all, not install or configuration. I tried looking at the guides that is out there and formatting it exactly, but nothing happens.
Today I have landscape-client installed through bashscript, but would be nice to actually use the code that is for this.
