Bug Description

Hi, I'll try to explain it as clear as I can.
Whenever I use the subdownloader client on Mac Os X, version 2.0.15, the subtitle gets uploaded correctly, and I can indeed look for it on the opensubtitles.org website and it will show up with all the details correctly updated (language, name of the movie etc...) but unfortunately, the hash doesn't get updated and whenever I search for the subtitle just uploaded using the download part of the client (search from video files) then it doesn't show up.

Is there anything I could do? Please ask if you need more details..
Thanks a lot!

Ok, so it looks like it gets recognized, but only after a few hours, or even worse a few days!!
Does it get checked by some kind of a moderator?
Or maybe there is a routine that updates only once a day subtitles uploaded with subdownloader.

Thanks for making it a bit clearer!

Hi Joachim.

What goes on on opensubtitles.org server after the file is uploaded is beyond our knowledge.
They might have some sort of routine as you mention. We don't know.

Thanks for the input.
Cheers

Allright! I double checked in order to be sure I was not going crazy!
The subtitle DOES get updated INSTANTLY and SHOWS INSTANTLY when checking the just uploaded subtitle when it's in the WINDOWS CLIENT.

Somehow it looks like there is a bug in the MAC version of the client, I cannot figure why it's like that but for sure there is a problem with the hashing function of the mac client.

Is there any one who understands both version and could check the hashing functionality of both mac and windows clients in order to see what's different, maybe we could get to a solution in no time?

Please help it's really frustrating, I get really random behavior in the Mac SD, indeed I either cannot see the subtitles for a few days or just need to wait for a very long time till it shows up.

PLEASE REGARD MY LAST COMMENT AS IRRELEVANT, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SOME OPENSUBTITLE.ORG ROUTINE THAT UPDATES THE UPLOADED SUBTITLES ONCE A DAY, AS I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT...

Thanks a lot for your help!!!
