Units don't carry over XP and Kill variables when upgraded

Bug Description

I am using commit version 8874.

When upgraded through an upgrade button in the unit's interface (for instance, when watch towers upgrade into guard towers), the unit's XP and Kills variables are reset to 0. I am uncertain as to what happens to other unit variables, possibly they are set to 0 as well.
