I'm also seeing the same / similar problem on a Macbook Pro 2.2 Ghz i7 running Mac OS 10.6.8 and Stellarium 0.11.2. In my case the problem is specifically user interface lag: Stellarium reports 200 fps, and the stars slide smoothly through the sky as the Earth turns, but there's a 1/2 to 1 second delay when you zoom or pan with mouse or keyboard, click on a toolbar item, or click on something in a dialog box.

This did not occur in Stellarium 0.10.x.

The good news are on the same Mac mini + Windows 7: Stellarium 0.11.2 is running fine.

So the Question is why not with Mac OS 10.6.8 ?

I believe this is because the build of Stellarium for Mac is using the wrong version of Qt. I'm looking at getting this fixed.

Timothy, do you can build a DMG (0.11.2.1) for intel-only mac's with Qt/Cocoa?

Same problem here with stellarium 0.11.2 and Mac OS 10.6.8.

Can you maybe provide a download link to an older version for the meantime? -.^
