Bug Description
I've an own plugin which changes some values contained in the F4 dialog window (for example light pollution, shooting star ZHR, landscape). When the dialog is showed for the first time, everything is ok (the dialog is initialized). Then the plugin changes the values. And when the dialog is showed for the second time, the values are out of date. (I think it happens because the values in the dialog are set when the dialog is showed for the first time - and then the values aren't updated.)

Unfortunately, the dialogs are not closed when a user closes one; it is just hidden. This is a design flaw, but, it's there. In the ViewDialog class, there is a method that is responsible for sync'ing the dialog with programatic changes. However, it is only doing so for Sky Culture and Default Landscape.
So, yes, it looks like most values are populated only when the dialog is created.
