The name of your notebook is irrelevant. Graphics capabilities are. Those which have been found are printed in the logfile. You appear to have a small notebook with software (MESA) rendering. There may be a Intel HD driver upgrade. See the usual FAQs.

It is also possible that this GPU has been blacklisted by Qt. Try ANGLE mode. See FAQ.

Bug status is moderators' decision only.

The logfile says OpenGL 4, which should be OK. There was no big change graphics-wise between 0.15.3 and 0.16.0. Really 1fps surprises me. Try disabling a few plugins. Most notably satellites slow down quite a lot.

  • Capture5.PNG Edit (1.1 MiB, image/png; name="Capture5.PNG")
  • log.txt Edit (6.1 KiB, text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"; name="log.txt")

I had Disabled plugins all and try to figure out whether fps is Raising or
not and also I had tried in all modes
Even though FPS stucked in 1 FPS only Here is the PIC and my System
DXdIAG.txt and Log.txt file I had recently only upgraded my Video graphics
driver too My PC is 60 FPS capability PC too So Please try to fix the
Stellarium Bugs problem in 0.16.0 Version in previous Version 0.15.9 I got
Up to 17 to 25 FPS in adding additional stars, Solar system Editor objects,
and Satellites So why Stellarium 0.16.0 Version sucks my eyes and Blood
please moderators try to resolve this big problem

Same problem here. I had never used the program, this is my first installation. I thought it was normal, but then I changed my mind. 1 FPS means that the application is really uncomfortable to use. I can't wait one second every time I click something to see what happens.

My is a gaming pc (windows 10), with a good graphic card, processor and memory. There's something wrong with your software.

Sure. This software writes a logfile with possible hints of why exactly your few of several 100.000 happy installations are so slow. As long as this behaviour cannot be reproduced or a reason identified, we can not fix it. On the 8 PCs/laptops of various ages in my reach I have no problem.

Stellarium is released free of charge in the hope that it is useful, but comes without any guarantees.

You don't need to be so defensive. I am not asking you to pay me or something. You say that 8k people have no problems. I am telling you I have. So, you can count at least one problem. Two, with the other guy.

Most of the people with problems in their installation won't come here. They will just forget about the app, it's not important to them. It's important for the developers, or they wouldn't create it.

I am just telling out of my good will. I am not doing anything about it. I will uninstall and wait some months to try it again. I doesn't worth more than that to me.

Now you can be defensive.

I say that presumably 100.000s have no problem and we cannot do anything about yours as long as you don't even send in your logfile. If 1fps was frequent, general reputation would be much lower.
