Bug Description
Mars is rendered as a simple colored disk even at magnifications of 100x and 150x. In my 80mm ED refractor, I clearly see dark surface features and shapes at this magnification, which correspond to the Stellarium view at 300x when I add a virtual 2x barlow.
Could you please fix this, and use the texture as soon as the rendered image has more than 3x3 pixels or so? Better yet, make it configurable?

Actually the sphere with texture is used as soon as screen size >1pixel, but the combination of halo+sphere overexposes the texture. And of course, the tiny sphere will not show many markings in a subsampled texture. Not sure if halo should just be disabled when sphere is rendered in Ocular view?
