Bug Description

This is a feature request (not a bug report).

Syphon (http://syphon.v002.info/) is an open source Mac OS X technology that allows applications to share frames - full frame rate video or stills - with one another in realtime. Adding Syphon server functionality to Stellarium would allow planetarium operators to stream Stellarium footage in real time into dome-enabled VJ software packages, such as BlendyDomeVJ (http://www.blendydomevj.com/) or vDome (http://interactivedome.net/).

In this way, Stellarium can be used also in multi-projector fulldome planetarium domes. This would promote the usage of Stellarium also in large-scale planetarium installations, where the already-implemented fisheye projection is not sufficient.

FYI: I have done a first implementation on Windows using Spout.

I have no Mac, so I cannot upgrade this from Wishlist to in-progress.

I noticed that Stellarium is a Spout Sender in the recent 0.15.1 release. That's great; thanks a lot for the efforts!

I am trying to connect Stellarium to vDome, which is a Spout Receiver. As a first step, I opend the Spout Receiver demo application that is part of the Spout SDK. Stellarium is not recognized by this application as a Spout Sender.

Is it neccessary to activate the Spout mode in Stellarium in some way? I did try the --spout=all command line parameter mentioned elsewhere but this seemingly does not make any difference.

BTW, the Spout Receiver demo application works nicely with the Spout Sender demo application (also part of the Spout SDK), so I can confirm that in principle Spout works on my system.

Thanks for any advice.

... yes, I tried this as well (implies the command line parameter --spout=sky). I also tried all (reasonable) settings in the SpoutDXmode dialogue...
