Bug Description

The Moon is rendered too bright, so even dark side is visible. Dark side is hard to see even at night and it is never seen at day.
As the result, rendered Moon image looks distorted, just compare attached rendered image with image from a camera

It is clear that the dark side of the moon is invisible in natural daylight. However, this may help when observing daylight occultations, so at least I prefer this solution.

The bug is not about dark side, but about distorted, unrealistic Moon image. But as far as I know, much efforts was taken to create such a nice realistic sky simulator. Is there any sense to use a special fine tuning formula to set Moon brightness if the result is simply clipped by graphic system?

As about occulation, I prefer turn atmosphere off.

The behaviour of Moon brightness rendering has been changed some time ago - this is problem still?

The excess brightness is solved. The dark side is slightly visible in daylight, and this is on purpose. So I regards this solved.
