I checked the new Stellarium on a windows machine and the basics do appear fine.
Same issue that it doesn't save the spherical mirror setup.
Only issue on the warping that is very noticeable in the mirror system is the warping of the meridian / ecliptic / equatorial lines.
Each line segment appears to be warped segment-wise, but the segments don't connect up very well, ending in "jaggies". and with just a single pixel wide, there can be gaps.
Similarly, the text items are jaggy and sometimes broken. I boosted the font size to 18 which helped but over that, the bottom edges all get ragged.
Would be nice to have a two-pixel width setting... and calculate the lines better..

Basically what we should do is rendering the original buffer using twice the screen resolution. This might affect performances, so we have to test it first. Also we need to set the proper opengl texture parameters to use linear interpolation (instead of the current 'nearest' value).
