Bug Description

I ran Stellarium 0.13 32bit (not the MESA version) on W7/64bit / 4GB RAM with an ATI Radeon HD 4670 (latest driver) and OpenGL version 3.0.
When advancing time in time setting from day to night or vice versa I get black screens in full screen mode as well as in windowed mode. The only way to stop Stellarium was to kill the process in the task manager.
Same effect occurs when activating the ocular plugin and switch to ocular view.
I am not an IT exppert, but if I can help with further details on my hardware configuration, pls. let me know.

I suspected the renderer to be the problem and tried the MESA version which works fine!
So I have no trouble to use Stellarium now - which I consider to be a great, free software (thanks to all developers!)

M.

  • log.txt Edit (4.7 KiB, text/plain; charset=windows-1252; name="log.txt")

Pls. find attached the requested log-file (from the non-MESA version).
Correction to the bug-notification: I could terminate the program
normaly if I only could find the button on the black screen - the
program is still responsive ;)

Hi Alexander, I am ages too late replying - sorry. Version 0.13.0.92 seems to be gone
from the repository.
I tested 0.13.1 and found the same behaviour as described in the bug. When you want me
to test another version pls. let me know.

logfile indicates only OpenGL2.1 and some missing gl function. Maybe another Radeon driver update helps?

Is this still an issue with version 0.13.3?
