Bug Description

Original topic: https://sourceforge.net/p/stellarium/discussion/278769/thread/8a63d69d/

We would like to looked at a fixed point (a set Az/El) and watch for what stars might come by? I went to "search window" (F3) and entered a point RA/DEC. But Stellarium seems to follow the sky. I want to simulate what it would look like if the scope is NOT moving.

Question 2: for the point is there anyway to enter AZ/EL (or HA/Dec) instead of RA/DEC ?

------------------

Further 'playing' with Stellarium and entering a fixed point seems to work, but I'd still like to enter the point in AZ/EL or HA/DEC instead of RA/DEC.

A fix has been committed as revision 7047 of the trunk branch of Stellarium's Bazaar repository at Launchpad: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~stellarium/stellarium/trunk/revision/7047

This revision has the new config option in the [search] section for specification of the coordinate system:
coordinate_system = RaDecJ2000

Type of value is string. Default value is RaDecJ2000, possible values are RaDecJ2000, RaDec, AltAzi, Galactic.

Addition from revision 7048:
Let's use more predictable names for coordinate system: equatorialJ2000, equatorial, horizontal, galactic.
