Bug Description

On 2014, April 26th, 22:00 UTC, the location of Vesta is not as shown by Stellarium.
Its location is nearly the one you give for April 28th.

On 2014, April 26th, 22:00 UTC, Ceres location seems to be erroneous too.
It "flies" above 84 Vir, (with a higher declination the 84 Vir) which Stellarium never shows, whichever date I choose.

Thank you.

I did not write my Stellarium version. It is 0.12.4.

Please just update elements of orbit for Vesta via Solar System Editor Plugin.

Thank you, Alexander, for your quick reply.
But, sorry, it does not work. Or perhaps, I don't know how to update...

I go to "Configuration" -> "system solar editor"
-> "load at setup" is active.
->"Configure" -> "solar system objects" -> "solar system" > Vesta belongs to the list, but :
- impossible to remove Vesta, nor the planets such as Saturn,
- "import data" does not include Vesta, nor the planets such as Saturn

Obviously, someone has reported the same problem than me : https://bugs.launchpad.net/stellarium/+bug/1291005 .

Kind regards, and thank you a lot.

"Configure" -> "solar system objects" -> ""Import orbital elements in MPC format..." ->
a) "Lists": Select the source [MPC's list.... 2011] -> Get orbital elements -> marks Ceres and Vesta and press "Add objects" (you can overwrite existing objects or just update their).
b) "Online search": just enter Ceres as example and press search button -> mark Ceres and and press "Add objects" (you can overwrite existing objects or just update their).

Is it an difficult?

Thank you. It gives me the right location.

I chose the "MPC list of observable minor planets", which seems less restritive than the"MPC... 2011". Is it ok ?
The b) point seems queer ! I don't understand why it is necessary after the point a).

In the future, either in some days or in some months, what shall I select for the same asteroid :
- a) and b) ?
- only b) ?
- nothing ?

Regards.

You can use any - a) or/and b) - ways :)

IMHO, if you need add/update elements for one minor planet - point b) will be preferred, for list of minor planets - of course point a) will be preferred.
