Bug Description
Binary package hint: startupmanager
Hello! I've just installed startupmanager and ran it once.
I noticed that the "Boot options" display resolutions offers a certain list of options. It just so happens that it doesn't include every available video mode on my card (nVidia), for instance vga=892 (which is 1920x1200, my screen's native resolution).
I know that this is not very widely available, and might even be non-standard, so it's not necessarily safe to include it by default. But the app should detect if an unknown mode is already enabled in menu.lst and offer it in the menu.
(In my case I just switched the mode once to see what happens, and noticed I had no way of returning to my custom mode without editing grub's menu.lst.)
This package has been removed from Ubuntu. Closing all related bugs.
