Bug Description

Please consider adding high resolution modes (like 1440 x 900) that are being used on the new WIDESCREEN lcd monitors to the choice selections listed in StartupManager program for the usplash display properties, so that I do not get this annoying "NOT OPTIMUM MODE" message covering up the Ubuntu logo during both bootup and restarts and/or shutdowns of my computer.

Thanks.

Using 1680x945 here and wishing for this feature myself.
Ideally there would be a way to retrieve the current resolution (probably tricky if several displays of different resolution are active), but I'm not sure if the effort is justified.
