Doesn't connect to Facebook after logging in and granting privileges

Bug Description
On first launch, the application requests that I log in to Facebook and connect it. I click the button, log in through Facebook via the new window, grant permissions, and see a "Success" message followed by a security guideline. Without an obvious UI flow, I close the window. The application remains unconnected to Facebook. Clicking the button again presents the same procedure as before (logging in to Facebook).
