Bug Description

Brief Description

mariadb-10.3.17 can't find the mariadb connector module in mariadb source codes. The failure log is:

CMake Error at cmake/submodules.cmake:38 (MESSAGE):
  No MariaDB Connector/C! Run
      /usr/bin/git submodule update --init
  Then restart the build.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  CMakeLists.txt:403 (INCLUDE)
-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!

Low priority - CentOS8 plans are on hold given the announcement that it will be EOL by Dec 2021.
