Multiple user profiles on launchpad ID change

The user ID appears to be based on the launchpad ID. However a launchpad ID can be changed.

For example, all of the commits in [1] should be under [2]. The launchpad ID was renamed and a placeholder was created with the old ID; however, the email addresses in the commit logs all belong to the renamed account.

But then, what would happen if the e-mail changes? Like, if someone was using a company e-mail and then decides to change company. Are there plans to address this kind of thing also?
