Bug Description

Package squeak is listed as an educational tool.

Here's the description: Programming system and content development tools.

For me that's more about programming than educational.

Right now, it is present both in developer tools and in education category.
Maybe someone who uses squeak can comment about whether it is educational or not?

Squeak is a development environment that has been used to implement educational tools like Etoys and Scratch. Squeak itself should be classified as "dev tool".

Is this something that needs to be fixed in Debian?

Yes, this ideally should be fixed in Debian as well. In addition to a reupload, a bug should be filed against ftp.debian.org so the overrides file is corrected.

Isn't this the upstream source of Squeak? https://launchpad.net/squeak

Chris: no, that's an experiment by a single developer that was not adopted by the community.

Ubuntu changelog shows the 'Education' tag was dropped from the desktop file in 2015, version 1:4.10.2.2614-2 so closing as fixed.
