Bug Description
Using Ubuntu 12.04 32 Bit or 64 Bit I get the same problem, the option for Desktop Sharing in Empathy is grayed out. It appears like this when I finish the default install.
I have tested between 2 gmail users since this used to work in 11.10. My version of Empathy is 3.4.2.3.
