Bug Description

I am an Ubuntu user since June 2007, I helped many people to install and setup ubuntu. As I am nowadays working as teaching assistant, I face many students that do not know anything about linux.

I would like the community to make a brochure that I can put on my office door that inform readers that there is a free ubuntu support inside provided by a volunteer. The students who use ubuntu can pass by my office asking for help, and others who do not know ubuntu will start asking about it.

I am not good at graphics design, but what inside my mind is that a cool brochure that makes ubuntu power users visible to others. In this way students can use ubuntu without hesitation as they know that they will get support from those volunteers who put such brochures on their offices' doors.

Please, if you have any problem regarding my idea, ask so I elaborate more. If this is not the place to discuss such thing, let me know a better place.

Thanks in advance.

It seems like you have two needs: introducing people to Ubuntu, and advertising your willingness to help.

To introduce people to ubuntu, can I suggest you use existing materials?

This is a good one for people who are not at all familiar with Ubuntu or Linux. It was made by the Ubuntu-fr guys, so there are a couple things that aren't quite translated right. Should be real easy to fix though.

For showing your willingness to help, perhaps just a really simple poster that says "Ubuntu Power User" at the top, then a short list of things people can ask for help with.

"Ubuntu Power User

Will help anyone:
Install Ubuntu on their computer
Learn the basics of using Ubuntu"

Can't come up with anything else, but those are the important things.

This should be just a really simple .odt file, so everyone can modify it to fit their own expertise and willingness.
