Bug Description
Deleting groups performs the deletion instantly and irreversibly. It would be better to flag the groups as 'dead' and go through deleting these after a certain time. This would allow time for groups to be resurrected if a mistake is made.
Subgroup handling (deletion or promotion) needs to be stored too, so the correct action can be taken when the deletion is performed.
