Bug Description
We should have a flag for Intel-only updates to apps which were once universal.
"I sometimes learn of "an update' to existing software and download it automatically, only to find it is not compatible with my PowerPC Mac. But the new update has deleted the existing software. Then I must locate the old version and download that one again. It should be simple to provide a setting that causes an alert page to remind us to check the (provided) new program description to learn if it were Intel only BEFORE installation. Automatic compatibility screening would be even better, but perhaps too much to ask."

Perhaps this might be a bit more general; I can also see apps becoming 64-bit only being a problem in a few years for the early Intel Macs.
