Optionally include an anonymous but user-unique ID with the profiling information

Bug Description

To track user upgrade patterns but without invading privacy, it'd make sense to give the developer the option to submit an ID unique to each computer but still anonymous.

Torsten Curdt submitted a patch for this (see ~tcurdt/sparkle/devel), but I'm trying to free localization strings, so this'll be for Next Major.

Changed in sparkle:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed

Is this tracker outdated? AFAICS this can be supplied in the -feedParametersForUpdater:sendingSystemProfile: delegate method.

Well, yeah, it can be supplied that way, but this adds some custom UI and makes it an option for all clients. But because it can be done through delegate methods, this is only wishlist (and a patch has already been submitted). Targeting for Next Major since I don't want to change the strings on the localizers again.
