Bug Description
Converting flac to mp3. All works well, except for very large flac files ~1GB the conversion slows way way down toward the end. You know, things like Siegfried.flac or Gotterdamerung.flac to mp3 take forever!
May be more of GStreamer problem though ...?

Indeed, converting a big file to MP3 is 3 times slower in VBR mode than in CBR.
Removing the xingmux element fixes the problem.
