Bandwidth of 320k .mp3 after conversion from .flac too low

Using the spectrum analyser Spek, I have noticed that the bandwidth of .mp3-files@320kb/s (in SoundConverter-settings: CBR / insanely high) after conversion from .flac is lower than after conversion with the CLI (using flac and lame).

Please check the attached picture with spectrograms for the original .flac, .mp3s after conversion using CLI, and soundconverter @ 320 and 128kb/s respectively. Files converted with soundconverter and CLI (second/third picture from top) should not differ, but the cutoff frequency for files that were converted with SC is considerably lower.
