Bug Description
The default GCC that comes with Solaris 10, version 3.4.3, appears to have issues with the SSE code for the random number generator. Half of the registers end up as zeros. Further inspection of the code output it required to track down and isolate the problem. As a workaround, disable SSE and above code generation (falling back to MMX) through the configure script.
