Google-Chrome-Stable is not available by default

Google Chrome, the most popular web browser on the planet is not available by default in the Software Center. This is just ashame. It is great that Ubuntu comes pre-packaged with all the latest and greatest opensource software, but the popular proprietary softwares need to be easily accessible as well, and the closest alternative to Google Chrome, known as the web browser Chromium available in the Software Center is never in a stable-state: It's always in development, in an "alpha" or "beta"-like state, features constantly changing which can be a serious security risk for those Ubuntu users in the Target Audience range that just want a simple web browser that synchronizes with their Google account in full.

I know it's a licensing issue with Google and Adobe to prepackage or redistribute their softwares, but there is a get-around if you just include the official Google PPA by default with Ubuntu to fix this issue.

Bring Chrome to the Software Center. It is the most popular web browser, used directly by Ubuntu's Target Audience, the General Public.

Only if the ppa is not enabled by default, should work the same way as the multi-verse ubuntu sources
The ppa has a habit of timing out in my experience when checking for updates

If the PPA has issues in itself, Ubuntu and Canonical can easily get rights for redistribution of the Google-Chrome-Stable package from Google and Adobe. Ubuntu is the third most popular desktop OS, the first most popular server OS on the planet. Google Chrome is used by 40% of the web browsing world, according to StatCounter.com. Next in line, Internet Explorer, doesn't even come in close at 30% as of April 2013.

This is not a problem with the software-center application itself. If you wish to see Google's proprietary applications posted in the Software Center so that you can purchase/install them easily from there, then Google Support is whom you should contact, to request they push their application to the store.
