Bug Description

In working through the processes surrounding 'confinement: classic' and who can use it, it has recently been agreed to by stakeholders (Jamie Bennett, Emily Ratliff and Bret Barker) that LP accounts in the following groups should be able to use 'confinement: classic'.
- motu
- ubuntu-core-dev
- canonical

As a reviewer, it is difficult to see if the publisher is a member of one of these groups. Ideally, the review page would list the LP groups memberships like is done on the LP id landing page. As a quick fix, a link to the LP landing page would be handy.

What is less clear is what to do about a publisher (eg, 'kde') that might be shared where not all the uploaders are in one of the above groups. That isn't necessarily blocking this bug, but is a consideration.

Hi Jamie,

Siva is working on this, but we are taking a slightly simpler approach, because the store can't know all the LP memberships of a user.

What I've proposed and Siva is implementing is to report if the developers belogns to any of the teams:

~motu
~ubuntu-core-dev

Would this suffice for the review task?

'canonical' too please since the stakeholders agreed that would be the other group to consider for now.

This is the view with a field 'Publisher's Memberships' containing the list of the groups that the publisher is part of.

@Jamie,

I would appreciate if you could check the attached image above and inform if there is any more information that you need. This is the output of the fix that is proposed at present.

Please note that group information is that of the publisher and not of the uploaders. If it will help we could also list of the memberships of the particular uploader in the review page. Would appreciate if you could let us know if that's something that you'll be relying on.

Thanks

The attached image looks perfect!

I think showing the uploader's memberships is important too. Consider the case when the group is not in motu, ubuntu-core-dev or canonical, but the uploader is. I think this will be the normal case, so showing both would be great.

The group memberships of both publisher & uploader are now shown on the reviewers view and has been deployed to production.

Please let us know if you'd want to change/add anything.

Thanks.
