Bug Description

I have created the "sugar on a stick 0.86" and the USB stick works fine on a high end laptop.

However on a Compaq 1750...

Booting from the SOAS-2-Boot CD..
A tricolor bar/Generic 12 comes up.
It flashes the USB stick a few times,
eventually gets to a solid white bar/Generic 12
and then just sits there. And yes the USB stick drive name is FEDORA.

Booting from the SOAS-Blueberry.iso CD proper actually works,
but boy is it slow. 30 minutes to produces 3 puzzle pieces in the puzzle activity for example.

Is using the Compaq 1750 laptop a hopeless cause? (however, it runs FreeBSD just fine, thank you)

Thanks

Repeated booting the helper CD on two other machines that are functional booting from the USB stick and don't really need the CD.

The helper CD boots, accesses the known good flash drive (well at least makes the lights blink), but then hangs.

Are there md5 checksums for the individual files on the CD? Would have been nice if they had been in the ISO distribution.

Mason, can you try it again and push Esc during the tri-colour stage. This will produce a more verbose output which will be useful for debugging.

On my Compaq Presario 2100: SoaS-strawberry boots fine from LiveCD. I even installed it to my hd using the script provided on the CD. (I'm writing this from my browse activity now!) SoaS-blueberry does not boot from Live CD. SoaS blueberry boots from a USB flash drive, but only with the SoaS boot helper CD.
Will see if pressing Esc brings up anything. Was the kernel compiled for only Intel, i wonder?
