When log into sugar: focus will not stay on name entry field. Have to power off to quit.

When kog into Gnome: use terminal for sugar-emulator: can write in name and chose colors. Logs in fine wireless on EeePC900
Journal blocks left top of frame will not go away.

in terminal screen have error:
(EE) config/hal: NewInputDeviceRequest failed (2) unrecognised device identifier!
(EE) config/hal: NewImputDeviceRequest failed (2) metacity: Unknown option --no-force-fullscreen

**(sugar-session:2100): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'WnckWindowState' as flags when in fact it is of type 'GEnum'

Okay, so I think I've a clue what's going on here. For SoaS, we're right now using a somewhat forked version of metacity, to which Sugar switched with version 0.85. Now as this metacity version differs from the one in upstream Fedora, it could be that this causes the issue. I'll create a ticket at dev.sl.o, as it concerns rather Sugar (than SoaS).
