Tab doesn't always work from the first time

Sometimes you need to press the tab button twice before a tab is inserted

This bug occurs when using autoindent in vim. this is a hard to fix bug because the cursor returns a incorrect value and it's hard to get the correct cursor position

I think I have the same problem but there is no relation with the autoident and just for the first arg.

For example in python with a for I begin here with the first tab :
for ${item} in ${list}:
   ^

also I want to begin with the first argument :
for ${item}
       ^
I have the same problem in c and it's systematic.

My configuration :
snipper : 0.2
python : 2.4 (on Debian with celementTree 1.0.5) and 2.5 (on NetBSD)
vim : 7.1 on Debian and NetBSD

I try without other plugin and no .vimrc and same problem.
