Add the ability to specify a store when creating a new snap

Bug Description

When adding a new snap, users should be able to specify the store that they want to register that snap name on the form.

Also, we probably don't need to display the subnavigation including the selection dropdown and the snaps link (which is disabled).

Find attached a suggestion on how it can be handled.

Hey Juan,

Thanks for your bug report, but, to be honest, this is a little frustrating to read because a few months ago we had the exact same form you described, but we got an "official list of changes from design" to apply (the designs were from Greg), and one of the requests was to move the store dropdown to the subnavigation.

So given that is my understanding that you are re-implementing this form in snapcraft.io, I'm inclined to close this bug as Wont Fix, unless you object (please re-open in that case with your opinion).

Regards, Natalia.

Hi Natalia,

I understand that is a bit frustrating to pull back this item on the form as it was suggested by the design team to remove it from it. Also, we acknowledge that we are going to be moving this functionality within snapcraft.io. The main reason why I am reporting this bug is because is a request from our field team as some customers end up creating snaps on the wrong stores and they need to manually fix it for them so fixing this we will save them some of their time.

Sorry that I did not make it clearer on the bug description.

I was trying to re-open the bug but I couldn't because I might not have enough permissions but would it be possible to re-open?

Please see my previous comment to understand more about the reasoning.

Hey Juan,

Thanks for the details. Do you have examples of customers using the wrong store? Because only the store "super admins" (the snap store team leads) can change the store for a name, and to my knowledge we haven't had requests to do so.

If you wish we can make this bug private.

Cheers, Natalia.

We're moving the store selector back into the registration form, as recommended by Juan; but it should be visible only if the user has access to more than one store.

Hey Maxi,

As we discussed in our trello card, every single user in the store will have access to more than one store, because we have at least three open and public stores:

Global store
Lime store
Orangepi store

So if we'd move the store dropdown to the form, we would be effectively having a regression in the UX for this form since the dropdown would be shown to exactly everyone. The main reason to remove it was that the majority of the developers do not know, nor need to know, about brand stores. Having the dropdown in the same form makes them wonder what the hell is a brand store, and it confuses them.

So, given that:

1- This UI in dashboard is deprecated in favor of the storefront UI, and
2- The ratio between users that care about brand stores vs users that do not is huge,

the solution that we should implement is the one described in the trello card which is to add a confirmation page for those users who obviously know about brand stores. These are:

* users with a role in private stores, and
* users being the brand linked to any (public or private) store.

I hope this makes sense.
