Bug Description

Hi Store team

We're currently designing a category page to host the range of IoT snaps that the store has to offer. Understandably, these are not likely to be installed graphically.

Is there a way to add a flag to snaps that allows us to decide what to show;

[Install...]

  or

`$ sudo snap install foo`

Given you're designing the category page, you'll know which snaps are in the IoT category. I suggest that state is tracked in snapcraft.io code, not as a property of the snap but as a 'we're going to show this for IoT, let's not show the snap:// path'

We could easily track that in snapcraft.io, but snapcraft.io is to remain stateless and all stateful mechanisms are to come from the store.

I was thinking this would be a stepping stone until we get proper category data from the snap itself, but now I think this would still be a useful flag to define which snaps show the snippet or GUI install
