Bug Description
There's no character limit on description, so when submitting an updated field with a lot of text, the server times out.
We should enforce a character limit at *stick thumb in air* 4000 characters.
Firefox's description is (maybe) the longest i've seen and that is ~1600 characters.

How much text did you submit to make the server time out?
Whenever we enforce a limit (4000 characters), bugs tend to be filed saying "why is there an arbitrary limit? make it 4001 or better yet, make it unlimited" :) So - knowing the size of the description that triggered this would help either figure out why this is slow (and fix that) or decide a reasonable limit.
