Bug Description

Flightgear is a large snap successfully built in build.snapcraft.io but has never successfully published to the store. The uploads typically report "Store upload failed" in launchpad.

Here's two examples.

https://launchpad.net/~build.snapcraft.io/+snap/c832b926ae534565a4f8ee6e9978e80c/+build/797866
https://launchpad.net/~build.snapcraft.io/+snap/c832b926ae534565a4f8ee6e9978e80c/+build/797865

The source for the snap is at

https://github.com/snapcrafters/flightgear

It's large (1.9GB) due to it containing a bunch of assets for the game. Not sure I can trim it down much. This is not abnormal - the typical debs from the archive are similar (larger) disk footprint.

<popey> I don't believe it's the upload that fails, it's some post processing, because it sits at 99% then barfs

We should probably take a look at disk/memory use and timeouts on the review tools celery jobs. It could be that unpacking and repacking 1.9GB is just too big or taking too long.

Yeah I tried it too and I agree with Simon Davy. It just gives up at 99%

build.snapcraft.io upload of big snaps (1.9GB) are now working, we applied some config changes to the storage service and this should be now resolved, please re-open if you hit it again.
