Bug Description

There is no qgnomeplatform, no qt5ct, no kvantum support. One of them should be provided. Qgnomeplatform should work mostly out of the box AFAIK (notice there is no deb package for it though). Qt5ct and kvantum would require access to some config files. All in all qt5ct seems a solid option to me, but it won't work with kvantum themes by itself so maybe both of them should be available.

Hello

I'm not an expert on qt or GNOME. Can the reporter kindly explain:

1) what is specifically the problem
2) how to reproduce the problem
3) how a proposed solution would look like

I have a feeling any successful change would involve changing some of snapd, perhaps some of snapcraft and some of application snaps maybe.

Qt apps use a stock theme that is neither configurable nor try to honour basic settings of the hosting desktop (gnome).

Run any snap of a qt app, for example anki.

You will have to install something (qgnomeplatform, qt5ct) into the snap runtime and give it access to some configuration files or gsettings of the hosting platform through some kind of interface. qgnomeplatform tries to minimally adapt to the environment: fonts, icons, etc. qt5ct is more manual but gives the option to select the qt theme also.

I have just snapped a PyQt app,
It is not picking up my KDE QT (kvantum) theme.
Has this issue been worked on or does Snappy not work with themes?
