Bug Description
the partial removal of lsb-release in the core snap causes apt-add-repository to always add the latest development release to sources.list instead of the running revision.
the tarball diff used by the classic snap should make sure to restore lsb-release when creating the classic chroot environment.
to work around this issue:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall lsb-release
before using apt-add-repository for the first time works around this issue.

this has been fixed a while ago by including and installing the lsb-release deb when setting up the classic environment ...
