Bug Description

The devices team needs to support environments using the android kernel and hardware drivers, the initial target is the M10 tablet.

This will require changes in snapd to use full write access to the bootloader config from the running system. We need to be able to re-partition the disk and have the main partition be labeled "writable". We need to do in-place updating of the bootloader config to set proper versions for core and kernel.

Is this still a priority?
Oliver can you either close this or comment with what features would still be needed to complete this?

the idea was to port ubuntu core to an ubuntu touch device and have the whole touch stack living on top. while we do have support for android based kernels and bootloaders, the container providing access to the binary android drivers (graphics, sensors, network etc) via libhybris would still be missing.

but since we do not target ubuntu touch anymore i guess this can be closed ..
