Bug Description

I'm testing the all-snaps image on raspberry pi2.

I created a classic environment and inside that I wanted to install and use lxd.

$ sudo snap install classic --edge --devmode
$ sudo classic.create
$ sudo create
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install lxd

Then, to get the user into the lxd group I ran:
(classic)user1@localhost:~$ newgrp lxd
Password:
newgrp: failed to crypt password with previous salt: Invalid argument

That asks for a password. But it's not the password for the user1.

Here's the strace: http://paste.ubuntu.com/23355717/
