$ snap list notasnap
notasnap is not installed but is available in the store.
Try 'snap install notasnap' or 'snap info notasnap'.
$ snap list foobar
foobar is not installed, and not available in the store.

Looking at the snapd code the error is displayed if the number of snaps that match the supplied name(s) is zero.
