Bug Description

There is no mechanism for registering an account using snapd or resetting your password. This is currently done by knowing the appropriate URLs to visit (https://login.ubuntu.com/+forgot_password etc).

This API is required in GNOME Software since snapd might not be using Ubuntu One on other systems. We currently have the Ubuntu One URLs hard-coded.

A suitable API could be to use an HTTP 303 response, i.e.

POST /forgot-password HTTP/1.1
Host:

HTTP/1.1 303 See Other
Location: https://login.ubuntu.com/+forgot_password

Changed in gnome-software (Ubuntu):
