Bug Description

Per zyga comment, mov's new version ubuntu-device-flash failed to install kernel snap with digital name. So 96boards-kernel of snapcraft-examples need change name accordingly.

Reproduce steps:
1, download ubuntu-device-flash from https://people.canonical.com/~mvo/all-snaps/
2, build 96boards-kernel snap
3, run "ubuntu-device-flash core 16 --channel edge --kernel <local 96boards-kernel snap> --gadget canonical-dragon --os ubuntu-core -o dragon-with-custom-kernel.img"

Expected result:
image generated.

Actual:
failed to install: invalid snap name: "96boards-kernel"

This is not a bug of snapd, this is by design, we have certain restrictions on valid package names.

what is the restriction? I thought we agreed months ago to allow numbers as long as aA-zZ characters follow

The name "96boards" is now a valid snap name so I'm marking this as fix released.
