Bug Description
In order to process a user support question, I tried to install snapd on Ubuntu 14.04 ( lxc launch ubuntu:14.04 trusty -p default -p $USER ) - as suggested on this page ( https:/
Does snapd still support trusty? Should this get fixed? Trusty has support until April 2024, see https:/
Thank you!

Hi. Thank you for reporting this, I marked it as a duplicate of https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/snapd/ +bug/1873703. As that report mentions, you can work around this by commenting out the "OOMScoreAdjust" line in /lib/systemd/ upstart/ snapd.service and restarting the snapd service with `systemctl start snapd.service`. The root cause of the issue is in systemd and has been fixed for a long time (https:/ /github. com/systemd/ systemd/ issues/ 1611) but 14.04's systemd version is very old and doesn't contain the fix.
